You as a bridal couple invest a lot of time and energy in finding a wedding photographer, choosing a beautiful dress and an impressive suit, and carefully planning every detail of your big day. Yet I often see that photographers do not always pay attention to every detail that is important for a perfect wedding photo, and that's a shame! Secondly, you may not always be aware of the small but important elements that make the difference between good and great wedding photos.

In this blog I share six tips for planning the perfect wedding photos, so you can confidently capture the most beautiful memories of your special one. day!

1. Poses with Meaning:

Your photographer should guide you in posing for the most beautiful wedding photos, but I have seen that not everyone does this. In that case:

Think about poses that reflect your love and connection. From subtle hand touches to hugs, choose poses that feel natural and let your personality shine. By practicing beforehand, you will feel more relaxed in front of the camera and you will get authentic and loving photos. You can also plan a pre-wedding shoot to practice in front of the camera. Most wedding photographers also offer this.

2. The Magic of Make-up & The Right Photographer:

Of course a wedding day is super exciting, and you cannot avoid sweating. But there are 2 tips I can give to prevent this.

1: Good makeup is essential for beautiful wedding photos. Make sure that your makeup not only looks beautiful in real life, but also looks good on camera. Matte powder helps reduce shine and ensures an even complexion, while waterproof products keep your look perfect all day long, even during emotional moments!

2: Shiny/sweat spots can be removed during post-processing of the photos, but certainly not every photographer does this. So take a good look at their portfolio... are all their heads nice and even, or are they shiny on all sides?

3. Attitude and Confidence:

Especially during the ceremony I see that (mainly the men) are bent over. This may be due to nerves and/or ignorance. The woman is often wearing an expensive, beautiful dress, which means her posture is nice and straight, especially at a wedding. It even feels unnatural to be crooked in a wedding dress. Pay attention to your posture and sit or stand upright with relaxed shoulders. An open attitude exudes trust and shows your love at its best. It's your day, so let it shine!

4. Authenticity Above All:

Spontaneous moments are often the most memorable! Show your love for each other and don't be afraid to show your emotions in front of the camera. Real emotions translate into beautiful and moving photos. Therefore, find a photographer with whom you click, because he or she will be with you all day long, and if you feel comfortable, it will really be reflected in the result!

5. Result-oriented Photography:

A messy background can distract from the beauty of your moments. Make sure that your photographer also pays attention to details such as removing signs, plugs, cords and other unnecessary distractions. Look carefully at portfolios, unfortunately few photographers take the time to remove all the clutter in the foreground/background. A tidy background provides a professional look and makes your photos really shine.

With these tips, you are well on your way to planning the perfect wedding day photos. Don't forget to enjoy every moment and let your love shine in front of the camera! 📸
